Soundhouse Alum Hailey Hyde currently appearing on Broadway

Soundhouse is celebrating an exciting milestone as alum Hailey Hyde is now performing on Broadway in the acclaimed musical The Outsiders, bringing her talent to one of the most prestigious stages in the world.

Originally from Utah, Hyde is currently part of the Broadway cast of The Outsiders, where she performs in the ensemble while also understudying the roles of Cherry Valance and Marcia. Her appearance in the production marks a major step in a career that has steadily grown from regional theater to New York’s theater district.

Based on S. E. Hinton’s classic novel, The Outsiders has become one of Broadway’s most talked-about productions, and joining a show of that caliber places Hyde among a remarkable group of rising performers.

Her Broadway debut came after years of training, performance experience, and dedication to her craft — a journey that began long before the bright lights of Times Square.

Before arriving on Broadway, Hyde built an impressive resume in musical theater, appearing in productions of Frozen, Cats, Footloose, and Kinky Boots. She is also recognized as a performer and teaching artist within the Broadway community. Those experiences helped shape the versatility and professionalism that are now serving her on one of the industry’s biggest stages.

For the Soundhouse community, Hyde’s success is another example of what can happen when talent meets opportunity. Her journey from local stages in Utah to Broadway serves as an inspiring reminder to current artists that the path from student performer to professional artist is possible.

As Hailey continues her run in The Outsiders, her achievement stands as a proud moment not only for her, but for the entire Soundhouse family — proof that the next stage can truly lead anywhere.
