Music lessons & performance training · Pleasant Grove, Utah

More than just lessons.
A band. A stage. A season.

Most families find us searching for music lessons in Pleasant Grove. Lessons are where it starts — and most of our Artists keep the private instructor they already have. Soundhouse is the part that comes after: a real band, a real studio, and a real audience, every season, for musicians aged 10 to 18.

$299per month, per Artist. One set program fee — not billed by the lesson.
10–18Ages we place in Performance Studio bands. Beginners welcome.

30 daysIf you are not blown away, every fee comes back. No questions asked.

New Artists also pay a one-time $199 registration fee at acceptance — also covered by the 30-day guarantee.

The "more" — what the fee actually buys

Every week

  • One rehearsal with your band, led by a working professional producer — not a teacher with a method book.
  • Real charts, provided. Your musician learns to read, listen and hold a part inside a live group.
  • Recording in our own studio, and shows on real stages across the season.

Across the season

  • Performance and Premier bands play publicly a minimum of five times — three in the concert months, two over the summer. Usually more.
  • Foundation bands carry a lighter performance load by design, for musicians who are newer to it.
  • If a band placement is not the right fit, we move the Artist. That is a normal part of the process, not a failure.

Where your musician would actually be

Every room is named after a stage worth playing. It is one building on 700 South in Pleasant Grove, and it is built like the rooms the music came from.

Why families drive here from four counties

  • Artists come from 50+ schools across Utah County, Salt Lake County, Davis County and Park City.
  • 141 DownBeat awards and 64 Best of State medals on the walls they walk past every week.
  • Soundhouse bands have played Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Apollo, Montreux and Umbria.
  • Teaching and performing in Pleasant Grove since 1998.

On scholarships

In a typical year, the Sound Support Foundation makes scholarship offers to more than 1,000 of the families who applied. Asking never affects placement, and the question is on the application.

We publish our price because families deserve to know it before they call.

The 30-day guarantee

If you are not blown away within the first 30 days of your Artist's participation, tell us and we will refund every fee you have paid — program fee and registration both. No questions asked. We would rather you find out than wonder.

Questions families ask first

How much do music lessons cost in Pleasant Grove?

Private lessons in Utah County generally run by the half hour. Soundhouse works differently: one set Artist Program Fee of $299 per month, which covers weekly band rehearsals with a professional producer, sheet music, studio recording time and the season's shows. There is a one-time $199 registration fee when an Artist is accepted.

What age should a kid start?

We place Artists aged 10 to 18 in Performance Studio bands, and musicians over 18 in the Next Stage program. There is no audition to find out whether it fits — a musician can sit in with a band for a rehearsal first, with no application and no commitment.

Do we keep our private instructor?

Yes, and we hope you do. This is meant to be more than lessons, not instead of them. Private instruction builds technique; we give that technique somewhere to go — here is the fuller case for how the two fit together. Most Soundhouse Artists keep the teacher they already have, and instructors regularly tell us their students come back to lessons with clearer goals and real musical problems to solve.

Does my kid need to be good already?

No. Bands run at several levels, and Foundation bands exist for musicians who are newer to playing with other people. Placement is about fit, not a resume.

What if the band is not the right fit?

We move the Artist to another band. It happens, it is normal, and it costs you nothing.
