Soundhouse Grads Light Up the Hollywood Bowl
On October 27, 2024, three Soundhouse alumni shared the stage at one of the most iconic venues in the world—the Hollywood Bowl—each performing with major artists in a sold-out show that brought more than 17,000 fans to their feet. Wayne Sermon and Andrew Tolman, founding members of the GRAMMY-winning band Imagine Dragons, performed together once again, continuing a musical partnership that began during their Soundhouse days. Joining them that night was fellow Soundhouse alum Porter Chapman, who took the stage as the drummer for rising Korean-American alt-pop star EAJ.
The moment was more than just a reunion—it was a full-circle moment of mentorship and legacy. Andrew Tolman not only helped Porter land the high-profile gig with EAJ but was also the judge at Porter’s very first Soundhouse audition. Seeing both artists share the stage just a few years later at one of the most prestigious venues in the country was a powerful reminder of what makes the Soundhouse community so unique: musicians supporting musicians, across generations and genres.
For those of us at Soundhouse, the night was a celebration—not only of the world-class talent these artists have cultivated, but of the relationships, opportunities, and foundation built through performance-based music education.
A sold-out crowd. A legendary venue. And three Soundhouse alumni showing the world what happens when passion meets preparation.
We couldn’t be prouder.
